Busy days = slow Goettner.net. Since I have have nothing else newsworthy to say, I’ll just repeat the prediction that I’ve been making for the past 2 months: In true Philly form, the Phillies will finish one game out of the wild card. Keep it close to get people’s hopes up, then dash them, that’s how our sports teams roll. To ice the cake, Howard will finish with 60 homers, one shy of the first non-asterisk homerun record.
Since it’s a relatively slow week, I thought I’d just take the time to share one of recent additions to my nerd arsenal with y’all:
Although it’s actually called the “Targus Tornado Chill Mat”, I prefer to call it the “Crotch Saver”. As silly as it looks, it plugs into a USB port on your laptop (which you put on top) and those two big fans keep your reproductive organs at a pleasant room temperature. Before, I could only spend maybe a 1/2 hour at a time trying to steal Nieder’s identity online before my lap and nearby man parts would get uncomfortably sweaty. Now, I can pleasantly dedicate hours on end to the task. Totally worth the $30.
Since I feeling a bit under the weather, I decided on a soup and salad lunch. The chicken caesar salad was good, but Campbell’s chicken noodle soup is better then Saladwork’s.
