I’m not a big fan of social networking sites for the most part. Anything that exposes too much of your personal information to the work I tend to think is a bad thing. However, of late, I’ve found this service, Plaxo, to be very useful. The short of it is that there’s a slew of connectors for your email software, be in gmail, outlook, Mail.app, etc, that will sync your contacts to a secure online store. After that, if you happened to have email addresses of any other members, you get automatically linked to them. Then, if they change jobs, email addresses, etc, your address book is automatically updated. I’ve found it handy since people’s email addresses seem to change every year or two anymore. It’s also pretty private, you can set it so that only people with your work email address can connect to you, and they you have the option of sharing your home information with them.

Although this site is for a completely legitimate product, you may not want to view it at your desk at work. Unless, maybe, you’re in Britain, where the “Bounce-o-meter” (which is what makes this site so interesting) is a perfectly reasonable advertising tactic. Oh yeah, the link.

Finally, we spent some very relaxing time around the Lake of Constance, which touches Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in parts. What really made the view though, more then the mountains or sailboats, were the people.

Breathtaking.

After Vienna, we had a brief stop in Salzburg:

A donut pretzel!? Genius, pure genius! From there, on to Munich:

Ok, I know that underneath that handle is a little toilet brush. But you can’t tell me that at first glance that thing doesn’t look like a giant ladle in the quite possibly the strangest place ever. So in theory if you didn’t know it was a brush under there, you’d be kinda confused, right? In theory, of course.
