Ham & Pie
I thought it was worth a return to the blog to say that yet another successful Ham & Pie has come and gone. Some notes:
- I’d like to thank Trip, for proving that being in the best physical shape does not mean that the beers at the QEP won’t slow you down (and extra thanks for the swell job of basically closing the sidewalk with your vomit.)
- I’d like to make the suggestion that people have to attend the party for at LEAST 2 hours prior to competing in the Pie-athalon, because it doesn’t seem quite in the spirit of things to show up 5 minutes before the race and win because you’re stone sober.
- I’d like to thank Joe for the line of the night: “When I find out who you are, I’m going to knock all your f-ing teeth out. So you won’t need a dentist.” (Joe’s tent was assaulted by a high-speed potato, thus the interestingly worded rage.)
- Finally, I’d like to thank the one-armed woman for selling our hosts a 50-lb sack of potatoes for $10. We promptly fed them all to the fish of the Hampton’s via dual potato guns:
