Shut-ins
Well, today we decided to live like shut-ins so we could spend our first full day at home trying to figure out this little person who’s now living with us. No visitors, blinds closed, and I would totally recommend it to anyone bringing home a new baby. We are, however, incredibly grateful for all the well wishes and food and clothes and everything else that people have been bringing by, and we should be ready for some immediate family visits again tomorrow. Friends, we’re gonna try to start working you guys all in over the next few weeks, we just don’t want to overwhelm Katie (or ourselves). Personally, I’d like to get a few dozen diapers under my belt before I have to do it in front of anyone. Anyway, my favorite lesson of the day: if we decide to let her “air out” for a bit without a diaper, she can and will take the opportunity to poop on us.
