Fun for all Ages
So this weekend was “Warrington Day” a small local event that is conveniently located in the park adjacent to our development. We thought maybe Katie would like to take a walk through there just to watch all the other kids running around, but even more then that, the wife and I wanted some funnel cake. Unfortunately, the animals freaked Katie out a little bit, although only for a minute or so, and even worse, there was no funnel cake! Seriously, what kind of fair-like event doesn’t have funnel cake?? Anyways, the event made up for it’s afternoon shortcomings with a pretty good fireworks display that evening. Even better then the display was the fact that we could watch them from the kitchen, so they weren’t as loud/starling, but were still right in front of us. Turns out there’s really no age that’s too young or old for fireworks, as all 3 of us watched the whole show. Here was the view from the kitchen, which was hard to beat:
Are you ready….
… for some football? I know I sure was. Seemed like the Eagles were too. Go Birds.
Not ready, it seems, were some of the iPhone app maker’s application backends. The two sports news iPhone apps that I have downloaded, Sportacular and SportsTap both folded (for me) once we got close to kick off time for the 1:00 EST games. So it was back to mobile ESPN.com for me, which worked great. It did make me wonder just how much traffic to sports sites spikes during football Sundays as people try to stay on top of all the games and their fantasy player statistics. I know I’m perfectly capable of watching the game while checking scores and stats with the laptop and/or iPhone. Clearly I’m not the only one.

Although Ben is probably photographed more times a day then most of us are in an entire year, very few people can get him from this angle. (Taken from Sanjay's office with his D70, I definitely need a DSLR now!) Ben on the Bench](http://cdn.goettner.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/BenOnTheBench-1024x680.jpg)
