Mmm.. Fish Testicles
You know, I was just thinking maybe I’d fry up some fish balls for dinner last night. Good thing I didn’t. Turns out I have no idea how to prepare them, and if you don’t, they can be dangerous.
Groceries
So, the wife and I have been getting our groceries delivered. I know it sounds really lazy, and the first or second time we did it I was almost embarassed to tell anyone about it. But you know what? It’s awesome. I highly recommend it. If you have small children, I reccommend it even more. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy taking Katie through the supermarket, but sometimes, when you’re out of food in the middle of the week and it’s 15 degrees out, you don’t want to go. What if you could save all the hassel for like $7? Would you do it? Because honestly, if I went to the store without Kristin, I would spend at least an extra $7 on crap we didn’t need anyway. Twice as much if I stop on my way home from work and am hungry (I should never shop hungry.) So I guess you have to decide that yourself but I will tell you that the scheduling for delivery is very flexible, and they’ve always come in the window that we selected. As well, you pick a local store and you get all their current specials and what-not. I don’t know about coupons because I haven’t tried them yet, and finally, the one downside, soft fruit doesn’t seem to survive the trip too well, apples get dented, and don’t even attempt pears. Oranges and bananna’s are fine though. Consider yourselves informed!
Oh, we’ve been using Genuardi’s. We plan to try some of the other ones around here as well, but haven’t yet.
2008 Gas
I’ve been tracking the gas mileage I get in my car since I got the iPhone. An option field you can fill out is the gas price. Since I though it was interesting, and because I have to use Premium gas or my car gets angry, here’s a graph of the gas prices I experienced in 2008 (click for a larger/clear view):
I’m still waiting to get below the $2.00 mark. Hopefully 2009 will come through for me!

Time for some math (results rounded for human consumption)! That means I've driven the car just shy of 35 miles a day on average for almost 8 yea... 100,000 Miles on the WRX!](http://www.goettner.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/IMG_01921-300x279.jpg)
