Groceries

So, the wife and I have been getting our groceries delivered. I know it sounds really lazy, and the first or second time we did it I was almost embarassed to tell anyone about it. But you know what? It’s awesome. I highly recommend it. If you have small children, I reccommend it even more. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy taking Katie through the supermarket, but sometimes, when you’re out of food in the middle of the week and it’s 15 degrees out, you don’t want to go. What if you could save all the hassel for like $7? Would you do it? Because honestly, if I went to the store without Kristin, I would spend at least an extra $7 on crap we didn’t need anyway. Twice as much if I stop on my way home from work and am hungry (I should never shop hungry.) So I guess you have to decide that yourself but I will tell you that the scheduling for delivery is very flexible, and they’ve always come in the window that we selected. As well, you pick a local store and you get all their current specials and what-not. I don’t know about coupons because I haven’t tried them yet, and finally, the one downside, soft fruit doesn’t seem to survive the trip too well, apples get dented, and don’t even attempt pears. Oranges and bananna’s are fine though. Consider yourselves informed!

Oh, we’ve been using Genuardi’s. We plan to try some of the other ones around here as well, but haven’t yet.
